PEX fittings are important for proper installation of PEX tubing systems. The most important type of PEX fittings is the couplings. The PEX couplings are specifically designed in order to ensure safe assembling of various PEX tubing systems. These couplings are usually made from brass with which these can easily expand or shrink.
Couplings (PEX x PEX)
A PEX coupling is primarily used to connect the ends. There are basically two types of connections that can be used. One is the crimp connection system which is essentially done using the crimp tool and various crimp rings that are made from copper. On the other hand, one can also use the clamp connection system which is primarily done using PEX clamp tool and clamps made of stainless steel. The PEX couplings when used in a pouring should be used carefully. The surface of these PEX couplings must be covered by a protective material all around in order to prevent corrosion or any such damage.
The PEX couplings are effectively used in joining the PEX tubing by connecting their ends.
