Amtrol Extrol 60

Expansion tanks

Amtrol Tank is designed to supply the bulk expansion working fluid. He may be under atmospheric and pressurized. The most common expansion tank is open (Amtrol Extrol 30, Amtrol Extrol 60) The working fluid is poured into the tank through the neck 5, fitted with a strainer. The volume of liquid in the tank is controlled by a level indicator 2. At the pump fluid flows through nozzles with filter 3 and the hose into the tank – through nozzle 1. To avoid bubbling (intensive mixing) fluids that can lead to foam the latter, on the nozzle to a set of crushing jet mesh device or a perforated cap. Air volume above the free liquid surface communicates with the environment through saputs 4, equipped with air fine filter to protect the inner tank volume of fineĀ  contained in the atmosphere.

In systems designed to operate in conditions of variable atmospheric pressure (for example, when climbing the aircraft to an altitude of 1000 m the atmospheric pressure drops to 180 mm. Hg. Art.) Use sealed containers with pressurization (about 0 2-0,3 MPa) gas (b). Expansion tank with pressurization by inert gas (Amtrol extrol model 30), the use of which does not cause oxidation of the oil. Tank pressurization gas is produced through the fitting 6. Hydraulic fluid returns from the tank through a nozzle with a perforated cap to crush the jet. Amtrol Expansion Tank fill with fluid through the filter fitted neck 7, tightly overlapping lid expansion tank.
